Our Initiatives

Culinary Boot Camp - S'Cool Food InitiativeSince January 2009, The Orfalea Foundations has focused its efforts on creating systemic change with initiative based strategies. We have adopted four initiatives; s’Cool Food, Aware & Prepare, the Outdoor Classroom Preschool Project, and Montana Yellowstone Expeditions, all of which aim to fulfill one of the Orfalea Foundations' priority theme areas.

Each of our four programmatic Initiatives strives to provide innovative, comprehensive, and sustainable solutions to distinct areas of need that we’ve identified. Our goal in establishing these Initiatives is to coordinate efforts within and across sectors. The common premise being that we can make a greater impact working together than we can apart.
