Montana Yellowstone Expeditions (MYE) is an experiential education program for motivated high school students from southern California, south west Montana, and other select locations in the US.
Founded in 2004 as an initiative of the Orfalea Family Foundation, MYE’s mission is to provide exceptional educational opportunities that build the skills for success in learning and in life. Programs focus on leadership development, self discovery and awareness, and social and environmental sustainability. MYE is working to build the next generation of leaders, by educating and supporting young people today.
The MYE program includes outdoor adventure, service learning, life skills education, personal challenge, teamwork, and higher education access support. Programs begin with a 25-day summer Wilderness Challenge Course at our Montana basecamp, and continue in during the school year in student's home communities.
Students leave MYE with renewed passion to be their best, be a part of their communities, and learn for a lifetime.
